Does anyone have any suggestions for a January trek? I've trekked Annapurna, Langtang, Manaslu, Everest and Kangchenjunga before, and wouldn't really want to repeat (except possibly Everest?). Don't mind the cold, and would love to get a (simple-ish) climb in.

Edit: forgot - India also a possibility, although I'm not convinced by the Chadar (frozen river) trek...

Thanks!
Andy

Everyone is different, but I found repeating a trek to be very rewarding. You definitely see/feel different things the second time around (or 3rd time, in my case....)

EBC winter, First half of the Winter is dry most of the time. Permanet snow become hard, good crampons required. Sometimes the snow covered grassland on exposed slope is a little scary where neither snow nor ice gear works. Add a couple hours extra on your calculated climbing time. You never know. It took us all day for the climb which we planed half day. We had all different kinds of problems on three pithces of rapel (water ice in Langtang). For the peak climbing wind is problem on ridges.
Good luck.
