Ok, I know 'nameste', but are there any good sayings that would be useful to me in Nepal?

Stuff like:
2 beers please
Where are the dancing girls
Can I see the shaven yaks
etc....... Seriously though, some useful phrases would be great!

(Phonetically please!).

Many thanks
Don

Also, two is duita chiso biyar (dui is 2, but duita is the adj), tin(ta) is 3, charr is 4! Nepalis speak English all over, but they do like it when we try to use a few phrases and love to teach more along the trekking routes! Water is pani and chiso pani is available in town.
Have fun.

seatle trekker is right, Nepalis in KTD, Pokhara and along the most popular trekking routes speak English reasonably well. Hence there is less motivation to learn Nepali, which is a bit sad.
Baleeeeega! means take it easy, slow down. A most important word if your guide or porter are insensitive and race ahead. On the other hand if you are a macho trekker wanting to go ahead of everyone else, they may shout that at you, especially, as you roll down some steep fall, about to break your neck...
