Anyone got any thoughts on a walk from Jiri to the region then out to Tumlingar as a tea house trek? Will I just fancy flying out from Luckla by the time I've had a wander up Kala Pattar and maybe a high pass? Is the walk out to Tumlingar worth tacking onto the end of the trek? Will there be much company on the walk from Namche to Tumlingar? Starting in a couple of days...

Thoughts?

Hardly anybody takes the Tumlingtar exit from Khumbu. There are teahouses but very basic. I have not been there, but some of my friends did that in the nineties. They found only 6 bottles of beer on the whole way out but things must now be better... Also it is very hot in later spring, if you are starting now you are ok.

Phew...glad I decided on a flight from Lukla then. Just booked it and off on the bus to Jiri in the morning. Thanks all. Maybe do Tumlingar another time in the future.
