Are you talking advanced base on North or South side of Everest? Both will require you are on a climbing permit (expensive), I think some companies (e.g. Jagged Globe) do a North side trip to the North col on a reduced price than a summit attempt but it is still expensive. ABC from the South is in the Western Cwm above the icefall and requires you to also have a permit and to climb through the most hazardous section of the route, which I guess is not really advisable unless you want to go to the top. Or do you mean just EBC as in the normal base camp of Everest and a normal trekking route?
Then again there is the other ABC, which is Annapurna Base Camp and is a trek, but nowhere near Everest!

For those with creative mind: It is possible to visit up to camp 2 or 3 on Everest south side relativelly cheap: get a permit for Nuptse north face or Lhotse. The route is the same up to camp 2 at least, even camp 4 or south col. Nuptse permit is only a few hundred per head. Also you have to pay about $300 to use the icefall fixed rope & ladder trail.
