Question: Khumba Ice Fall

How fare is the Khumba Ice Fall from Everest Base Camp? Is is possible to at least walk there to view the sites?

About a half hour. or so. Varies every year. If you want to go to the Ice fall I would make a day trip of the walk to EBC. Most people come up from Loubouche in the morning as I did. This makes for an afternoon hike and as the sun goes behind the peaks the temperature plummets. If you leave around 10 am or earlier instead of 12 or 1 in the afternoon you'll have a more comfortable day.
