Hello,

I'd like to know how to obtain the TIMS and if it is possible to have it in advance before arriving at Nepal.

Don't think it's possible to get it in advance. But it's an easy job at any trekking agency - needs a photo and Rs 200 plus whatever fee the agency charges.

If you're going to Annapurna the Rs 2000 ACAP permit is also necessary.

I do not know if it different for groups but my TIMS was free. In fact is free is printed right on my card. Quote: "This Card is free of cost". I would put a scanned copy in here but I don't know how.

Yeah I think its free in theory. But agencies charge for the effort of dealing with it for you.
