A very interesting article and well worth a read if you're not familiar with Nepal's recent political history. I hate to say it again but I feel that Nepal will descend into civil war within 6 months. The maoists are determined to take control and they will use the dirtiest methods possible. My heart bleeds for the ordinary Nepali citizens who just want to get on with their lives, earn a decent living and see an improvement in their health, education, etc.,

Interesting article though I do wish the writing had been better.
Here's hoping civil war is avoided.

I imagine this will have a very negative effect on numbers of trekkers this year. I am headed back in late September this year for the first time in 3 years and was so looking forward to it.

Sadly it probably will have a negative effect. After two years of re-growth.
I am also planning something for between October and December.
Thank you for the articles webmaster and sylvester.
