For $475 i will get the following:-

Drive to Pokhara on bus
Hotel in Pokhara
10 day trek Poon Hill & ABC
All hotel lodges on trek

Do I need to haggle? I'd love all your comments before I go ahead and book this.
Cheers

It all depends who is your guide. Personally I prefer to trek without a guide nor porter. But on the other hand I know some very nice and honest people.

Hello Rakshi
Thanks for your response! I am quite happy to trek without a guide but think it would be nice to have everything organised because of so little time in Nepal and a guide would be great for local knowledge etc. I know this guide will be tustworthy.
Do you think I should pay less?
cheers

How much are the tea houses per night? Also how much is a guide per day? Looking at my costs (including flights) that I am budgeting for, that's all...

475 is about right, Katinka for a 10 days trek everything (almost) included. If you want coke or fanta, or beer, you are expected to pay for yourself in the lodge.

Hello Yakshaver,
Looks like I'll miss you by only a couple of days!
I think I'm gonna be doing the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek. Could anyone advise me when to give the guide payment, he will be meeting me in KTM. Do I pay him the full amount in KTM or half the cost?
Also, would I have to pay flight costs for my guide if I decided to fly internally to Pokhara and how much in advance do you have to book your flight?
SO MANY QUESTIONS SO LITTLE TIME!!!!!!!!
Thanks guys

I don't think you can book a flight. Turn up on the day is the usual trip, isn't it? $40 a flight.

I would pay the guide about 1/3 or 1/2. Depends who the guide is, and if you have employed him before. I pay my guide in full as I have employed him a number of times. Last time he refused to accept money from me... Bastard!! I almost cried. Don't expect your guide to do that though.
Regarding flights to Pokhara they are quite busy now, and if you can book in advance it would be good. Still, your guide should be able to look after that once you get to KTD, and in fact can book a seat for you in advance, provided you send him the details in your passport. A good guide should know all this. But will only book if he knows and trusts you. Meaning he's sure you'll actually turn up in KTD on the advised day. They have ended up with too many tourists pulling out at the last minute...
The cost of the flight is 65 US one way.
