The Koch family, to help publicise the search for Gareth Koch, have badges featuring Gareth's photo. Maybe those of you planning to head out to Nepal could get in touch with David and enquire about taking some with you.

From the Koch website:
There will be a new badge available shortly for those of you who would like some. Just let us know how many you require and we can send you some. These badges are 45mm in diameter and are suitable for children and they are also water resistant so they won't rust or fade.

Missing British trekker GARETH KOCH was last seen leaving Chukhung on Monday morning March 8, 2004. For those of you who'll be going to Nepal shortly or any time in future, you can e-mail David Koch, the father of Gareth, on:
daviko@ntlworld.com
You'll find this address in the badges-topic on the Koch messageboard as well.

Are you going to Nepal?
This is the latest message from Gareth's parents:
We have now received the badges and they look really good. The photo of Gareth is very clear and the simple design makes the web site address stand out.
If you would like some of these badges we will be sending them out next week. It does not matter if you want 10 or 100 we will post them to you.
David & Gill

Edit 22/4
There used to be a large photo with the faces of all the six missing trekkers in this reply.
However, the photo-issue is becoming a rather hopeless thing; between yesterday and today the two different photomontages also turned into advertising for a xxxx-website. Same happened back in February with all the LITH-photos, when the imghst account wasn't logged in to in time.
This time however, using a different hostingsite, it didn't take registering and no deadline could be given re. whether or not the photos could ever be replaced by commercial advertising. Let alone this type of advertising.
I will sort out this problem in the next few days and find a way to have the photos hosted professionally, so these irritating experiences with the internet will not happen again.

Dear Gill and David,
Please let me confirm that today the 5 badges have arrived in the mail. All of you over there did a great job: the photo looks very bright indeed, the website address is clear, and I must say the stickers on the outside of the envelope and then the small note inside, with its special design and thanking people for wearing the badge, in all make it a thoughtful and professional mailing indeed!
You sent me five of them, even though you know I will not be going to Nepal. So I will try to find some Dutch trekkers now (f.e. through the Dutch trekkersforums) who will be going there indeed, and give them one or more badges.
Rest assured that on Sunday the 20th of March - "Gareth's Day"- my family will wear a badge for Gareth and tell everyone who should ask us questions, "the whole story"....
take care & kind regards,
mieke

To mieke and all those that have asked for badges.
We would just like to thank all those people from all over the world who have requested badges. So far we have sent out in excess of 800 but we still have more to give out, so if you want some let us know by mailing us at HOME (daviko@ntlworld.com).
