When I arrive on March 17 it will be my first visit to Nepal, I am hoping to be there for about 2 months maybe even longer! I’ve done a bit of trekking in the UK. But the choice in Nepal is endless! Its hard to pick one to do for a first timer. Personally I would love to do a Peak, and maybe a shorter trek or less strenuous to start of with. To get me into the swing of things.

This maybe a tricky question due to the huge range on offer, but could anyone recommend a few treks and the possible cost that I could try when I am out there.

Any help would be extremely helpfully

Thanks jon

I guess for me the trick of going for the first time to Nepal and lasting there for two months, is doing things gradually and taking breaks between treks. Well, it depends a lot on personality I suppose.
You say, do a peak and a less strenuous trek to start with... These two are usually mutually exclusive. If you official trekking peaks, none of them are really easy, althoug a couple of them (Imja Tse and Mera Peak) are less technically demanding than the others.
If you stay for two months in the kingdom, you have plenty of time to do at least two treks.
AC is about 17 days and it starts far more gradually than either ABC or Gokyo/EBC. Langtang or Helambu or Langtang/Helambu is also a good starter.
If you want a short trek (as different from a less strenuous one) do start with, then Langtang (7 days) or ABC (8-9 days) are a good start.
Another good start for an exceptional sample of the Himalayan nature/culture is the AC. Forget the fact that it is dubbed the coca-cola trek... There are some advantages to doint AC or ABC or both. AC takes you through 4-5 distinct ethnic areas, as well as being tops in terms of scenary/nature stuff.
After you finish with AC (or AC-ABC) you can rest in Pokhara for a few days, of even go to Chitwan. This would be a wecome break for the intense mountains stuff, before tackling a trekking peak perhaps.
