The trek can be arranged as per itinerary.
Annapurna Panarama Ghorepani (Poon Hill) a easy to moderate Trekking.
As you proceed slowly along the trek upward, the varied characteristics of
nature and those of the cultures and customs of different ethnic groups are
noticed. From a starting altitude of 1300m you will climb to 3210m at Poon
Hill, where you will enjoy not only a superb panorama of both Annapurna and
Dhaulagiri but also a splendid and magnificent view of sunrise. Poonhill is
one of the most interesting features of this trekking tour.
The downward return trek becomes different from that of upward. It flows
through one of the biggest forests of rhododendron found in the world. If
the month is right, the complete forest becomes a mixture of white and red
blossoms of rhododendron.
The trek provides a challenging and rewarding way of seeing some of the
large Himalayan peaks up close, as well as viewing the culture of villages
in central Nepal.
Day 01: Drive west to Pokhara (200Km. / 8 hours) by bus than transfer to the
Hotel or camp.
This morning you will be driving to Pokhara (215km), depart in the early
morning, approximately 7 hrs away by tourist bus Absorb a scenic route
through the country lanes. You will be arriving at Pokhara in late
afternoon. Pokhara Lakeside villages sits, "front row centre" to one of the
most beautiful Himalayan panoramas in the world. The Annapurna and famous
"Fishtail" mountain peak of Machhapuchhare tower over the tropical setting
of Pokhara and you spend there will be the scenic highlight of your trip.
Enjoy yourself for the trek to Poon Hill in the evening. Overnight camp in
Pokhara near the lake.
Day 02: Drive to new bridge (Naya Pul) and commence trek to Ulleri
(2073m.) - 5½ hours.
After breakfast (approx at 07:30 am), and then we drive to Nayapul (42km),
1.5 hr by private van via large village of Lumle and walk about 20 minutes
to Birethani, a large and prosperous town. The trail follows the main street
of Birethanti, go through bamboo forests and pass a large waterfall and
swimming hole. Beyond a pasture used by pony caravans, the trail reaches
Sudame where you will be served lunch. After lunch we climb steadily up the
side of the valley, reaching at 1495m near by Tikhedhunga (1575m). Along the
way, various hamlets offer ample camping possibilities but Ulleri is the
objective for the day. We pass Tikhedhunga on the way. Stay overnight in
Ulleri
Day 03: Climb up to Ghorepani (2853m) through the rhododendron forest -
5hrs.
After Ulleri at 2070m. the trail climbs gently through pastures and
cultivated fields. There are magnificent more pleasantly through
rhododendron and oak forest. The trail crosses two sparkling clear streams
before making a short, final climb to Nangethani. Your lunch will be
provided in Nangethanti - Thani is a Nepali words meaning "rest house"
"Dharmasala".. From Nangethanti we climb to Ghorepani.
Ghorepani means "horse water" and it is no doubt a welcome watering stop for
the teams of horses, mules and ponies that carry loads that carry loads
between Pokhara and Jomsom. From Ghorepani, the trail climbs south on muddy path through the deep forests. It finally emerges on a grassy knoil which offers good mountain views, is including views, is including views of
Machhapuchhare. (not visible from Ghorepani pass), and a panorama all the
way south to the plains of India. It is similar views from Poon Hill. Stay
overnight in Ghorepani.
Day 04: Ghorepani to Poonhill (3210m) Then trek to TADAPANI (2652m)
Early morning 5:00 AM wake up and start to you journey climb to Poon Hill
(3210m) around 1 hr. to provides better unobstructed views and sunrise over
the high Himalayas. You can see a lots of white mountain peaks from Poon
Hill. After sunrise, you'll return to our camp and time for breakfast.
Climbing along the ridge in pine and rhododendron forests to a top 3030
metres then descend to at a second pass also called Deurali, at 2960 metres.
The trails a ridge hides the mountains as makes a steep, sometimes
treacherous, descent on a narrow path alongside the stream, as the descent
continues. The stream has some clear pools alongside the trail and finally
becomes a series waterfalls over a jumble of boulders. The steep descent
becomes more gentle way to reaches Banthanti and stop for Lunch approx.: 1
hour.
From Banthanti, the trail follow the stream down to a bridge where the
trails start climbing, leaving the moist high mountain forests and entering
a field of cane, making some ups and downs past to a vantage point "Tadapani
(2652 metres) that offers a brief view of the mountains. Tadapani means "far
water". The village water supply is a long distance, it takes porters more
than half an hour to fetch a load of water. O/N in Tadapani.
Day 05: Tadapani (1963m) - Ghandruk (1963m) 3 hours short walk, the trails
descend through the forests then terraced fields, to the Khummu Khola. The
Ghandrung trails descends steeply from Tadapani, through forests, a short
steep descend among rocks lead to a stream crossing, then the descent
continues gently past over streams, finally leading out on the ridge to
Ghandruk. Over night stay Lodge/Camp
Day 06: Ghandruk - New bridge 4.30 hours & drive to Pokhara - 45 minutes.
After breakfast the trail continues to drop to the Modi Khola (River) where
we cross a suspension bridge before rising to the new bridge at Naya Pul
where our transport to Pokhara and hot showers awaits in the hotel.
Day 07: Pokhara to Katmandu by drive or fly. In the evening departure to
your country.
