Internet is working

:) While I'm writing this message I'm talking with a friend of mine in KTM. Phone lines and internet are working again. Only mobile phones are still out of working. The situation is so normal in KTM and the valley. Also the web site of American Embassy of KTM is working , and the warning regarding the actual situation is really "soft". I'm planning to fly to KTM next week.

I have received an email from my trekking company as well. It states everything is normal, and no tourists are at risk. Though I really want to believe it, I wish they had the freedom to explain that everything is not normal, and that there is a slight risk(at least). The Maoist have claimed that they will step up their efforts in response to the King's decision to eliminate the government. A little bit of the "other side of the story" would be greatly beneficial. I like persons who explain the pros and cons of travelling. At least then, I can make an educated decision based on a non biased information. I will keep watching....
