Looking for trekking companion, Feb-Mar 09

I'm looking for trekking companions for the period mid of february to the end of march. Right now, I'm open for tours in the Solu Khumbu (Everest Region) as well as in the Annapurna region. I will be arriving in Kathmandu on the 7th Feb 09 and will be looking to start a trek to Annapurna base camp on about the 9th, (after a short stop in Pokhora). I depart for home on the 19th Feb. So far there is one other person joining me but we are looking for others. Let me know if this fits in with your plans.

I trekked the Everest base camp several years ago. That was in about April/May time. It was quite buzy but not crowded. Probably about right. There were no issues with getting accomodation etc. The only problem was trying to get a flight out of Luckla. Even though we had pre booked our flight, planes were cancelled due to the weather and there soon became a backlog of trekkers. We ended up waiting 2-3 days to get out.
I am guessing that Feb/March would be an ideal time to go. Nice weather and a few othere trekkers but not too many. If i can help with anything else dont hesitate to ask. Good luck, Alan

Namaste dear felllow trekkers,
I am a "young" (28 y.o) swiss doctor, who loves to trek in remote areas (upper Mustang in 2001, Cordillera Blanca - Peru in 2002, Accross Zanskar and Stok Kangri-Laddhak in 2004) to enjoy the true silence of the mountains and avoid the anty "defilee" of trekkers...
I am now in Kathmandu and organising a trek in the Kachenjunga area to reach the North Base Camp and eventually the South Base camp if the pass inbetween is open. (if you want to get more info, look at www.myhimalayas.com/kangchenjunga_olungchungkola/index.htm)
It would last little more than 3 weeks and wish to start around the 24th of february from Kathmandu.
I have a tent (for 3 persons), a stove, kitchen kit, so you only need to have a sleeping bag and mat (that you can rent in Thamel by the way).
My way is alpine style: light and inexpensive (at best : just us; at most a guide and 1-2 porter: because we have to get the special permit - 10$/week to be allowed to enter there).
So I am looking for other motivated trekkers to attempt this.
