Dear Trekkers,
One excellent trekking guide passed away at Throung-La phedi last week. he was a guide with long experience(more then 10 yrs.) around mountain. of course, he made many times to throung-la, everest base camp and other difficult passes. last time, he got Altitude sickness and failed to bring his life back from throung-la phedi. so i appeal every trekkers to learn and follow the early symptions of mountain sickness and be willing to recognise when you have them. prevention is the best way. some basic rules that, if followed closely, should prevent anyone from dying of altitude sickness.
1) you must become familiar with the early symptoms of altitude sickness such as headache, lost of appetite, nausea, fatigue....
2) Never ascend to sleep at a new altitude with any symptoms of altitude sickness.
3) Desciend if your symptoms are getting worse while resting at the same altitude.
Leave Ego, Be Sensible, And Enjoy it !
