CHO LA PASS

Does anyone know if the Cho La pass is open? I am taking a party of 8 to Kala patar and plan to go over the Cho La pass to Gokyo in early December 03.

Hi John,

After a bottle I posted one mail and I saw your message.
I have a lodge in Lobuche and I can tell you that Chola (sorry Cholatse, not the same) gives no problem in December, unless it snows the day before.
You could go from Lobuche crossing the same day, but days are short. Be careful. Do not go with fogg.
If you leave from Lobuche do not cross the Glacier the same day.
Sleep in Dragnag (Tagnag).
If you sleep in Lobuche, print off this mail and I give you,,,, in a good mood,,, free rooms for all 4 x 2, beginning of December in Lobuche. You pay the food and booze.

Ask for Regmi with my compliments.

Hi John Harrison,
Last week i returned to Kathmandu crossing chola Pass with a guide and couple of porter.Now i do not know exactly.But that time there were some snow but we did successfully with out problem.Perhaps in december mavy more snow comes but you can manage.To know the new development you can contact my guide who took me over the pass.
