Hello everyone, two questions.
We are currently planning a trip to Nepaul and want to spend most of that time treking. Our first question is how much money we need to set aside for around two months of both treking and some sight seeing.

The second question is when does the treking season finish. We are looking at spending from April over there but would prefer to go later if the season allows it.

Would appreciate any information,
thanks, Chris.

The trekking season never ends but some times are more ideal than others. This past Spring I was trekking in late April until mid May. The monsoon came early. The day would be clear in the am but by Noon it would be cloudy around the peaks. Bit of a down pour and clear in the evening. The big blue skies are in October and November. That said I saw lots of wildflowers and rhododhendrens in bloom. The days were longer and very warm.

I was there in April and it was ok. But it does get hot and sticky at lower altitudes, even upto 2500-3000m. After that it is quite pleasant. Compared to December (when I usually go trekking), there is more hazyness in the atmosphere and the pics don't come out as clear. Still, anytime in the Himalayas is just magical...

Regarding cost. Nepal is a relatively cheap destination. Depending on the holiday style you want, and wether you move a lot from one place to another, you could do it in the range of 20-50 dollars a day., as a reasonable ballpark figure. You can go far more expensive of course.

Hi there,
you can do trekking in nepal any time but more fantastic on march, april and may before started the raining. about cost to stay and trekking in neapl, averagely 30 US$ per pax is enough to stay at normal hotel and hire only guide and poter for trekking.

Best Wishes and Happy New Year
