Is there any reason to take a small pair of Binoculars trekking?. I am taking a small digital camera, I would put in in my daypack.

Yes definitely. How much use they get depends on time of year and which trek you do. If it's climbing season in the Khumbu you can see climbers on the route such as on Ama Dablam. We saw some about to summit on the SW ridge route. Above Lukla you can see Tahr, Musk Deer, Himalayan Griffon Vultures, other large raptors like Golden Eagles, Pheasants, the Yeti and other wildlife. Lower down below 3000m there are a huge variety of birds to see. If weight isn't an issue then they are definitely something to take. Maybe you'll spot a snow leopard. Who knows?

Take them. Its amazing the little details you can see on the mountains with the binoculars such as seracs, icefalls. We would just stare through them for hours. Also will help you see wildlife such as monkeys, lemurs and birds.
