Hi,

I'll most likely go trekking in the last week of Jan/1st week of Feb. I've heard that it's likely that I wouldn't get very far because of snow. Is this true? How cold will it be?

Would it be much better if I went the last week of Feb?

thanks,

Debrah

Hi,

snow will be on the main trils not be a big problem, maybe the way down from Tengboche to the Dhud Koshi (towards Pangboche) will be for some hunderd meters be snowy.

Much more ist the cold the problem. It can be really cold above Namche.

Otherwise t's great experience, the Sherpa's have a lot of time and other trekker's become a welcome sight!

It's cold but an excellent time to trek!

As "anyone" says it will be cold, very cold in fact. Make sure you have a very warm sleeping bag, good warm clothing, good boots, sunglasses and a beanie. Visibility in early January is usually awesome.
