re: Ngima Dorjee Lama

Hi all.

I've known Dorjee since I met him on the Annapurna Circuit in 2002. He was guiding an Australian couple. We spent much time together (as often happens on the AC) and i was impressed with him as a guide and friend. Subsequently, I recommended him as a guide for several friends, and he again proved excellent (and they are now also recommending him to their friends).

I visit Nepal and trek regularly (7 tiimes so far) and have observed many guides (many very good; some terrible). Dorjee is among the best.

Learn about Dorjee on his company's website (he IS the company...):

Another recommendation for Dorjee Lama here.

I contacted him before our Annapurna Circuit trek (June 2009). Nice communication, discussed our little-bit unusual itinerary (we had tent with us, and porters carried our bags up to camp place but lived in lodges). Although he not went with us, his staff was very good (because of off-season their help to arrange lodges was valuable; one of them worked also as excellent cook in some lodges where wasn't full staff on place). He arranged also all we need in Kathmandu (permits, hotel, transport to Besisahar etc.). All went smoothly and with warm hospitality.

He have quite a big experience and knowledge, trekked in many places starting from 1986. Reliable, knowledgeable contact in Nepal. You can contact him also by letsgonepalnow@gmail.com
