Annapurna - Thorong La pass

Thanks to all who replied to my previous questions on the Annapurna circuit. You have been very informative and helpful.

I have one other question: What are the odds that the Thorong La pass might be closed due to snow and weather on or about Nov. 22 or Nov 15? My plan to start the trek would have me at Thorong La on Nov. 22 but I am wondering if I should start 1 week earlier in order to have better odds of the pass being open. However the later dates work much better for my situation.

Dear Mike Namaste.

It is still good season of trek still end of november. Do not worry about it . We will know the condition when we get their. Himalyan wheather is not soure. If there is snow around the pass from laste night need to look for clean day. Even within 1 or 2 fit snow we can pass easaly in clean day.
Not only in a november or december, the weather becoms very in spring some time. Just need to keep going adventure sprite.
Any way it is better take extra day for accalmatize and to look good weather too.

I have been many many time over the pass. If you want my healp, i will be available with frendly sallary.
