Our excellent porter/guide

We trekked in the Everest region last year for 21 days . We hired a guide and a porter and were impressed by our porter more than by our guide . Before we left Nepal we had visited his family , some distance away from Kathmandu and decided to sponsor him so that he could become a guide . He has now we believe, completed his government guide course and is awaiting his certificate .
