i am trekking guide in nepal having 14 years experience in the field of trekking.As i experienced trekking is not only walk on the mountains it includes to get the knowledge about history culture and religion of the places where you go for trekking and no one trekkers have to miss this oppurtunities.In other hand while you book your trekking through any agency you will make rich people more richer and your expenses also will be high..............but the service will be same.
While you go for trekking better to think that some part of your expenses would go to local and lower class people and trekking would not be high budget.
