Namaste,
I just wanted to share my exciting news about finalizing my plans for trekking Everest and driving over to Tibet. thanx to those that helped.
I will be arriving in Kathmandu on November 24th and will start the trek on the 25th to EBC through Gokyo Ri. My itinerary has 3 days of rest in Namche, Machermero, and Gokyo. I've only trekked once before in USA and didn't want to rush through it.
After we get to Kathmandu around December 14th. we will go sightseeing to Tansen, Lumbini (if we have time), and Naragansett by local bus on our own and then join a group to go to Tibet on December 25th to January 4th. Hopefully there will be no strikes/bandhs along the way and things will go according to plan. I've scheduled a few days in between just incase things happen so it should be ok  .
We will leave Nepal on January 7th to go to Thailand for another 3 weeks ;) .
If anyone will be in Nepal during the same time, please let me know. I'd love to meet other travelers while we're there. :D We'll be staying in Thamel when we're in Kathmandu, in Naragansett, we'll stay in Bharatpur, and when we're in Tansen, Pulpa, we'll probably stay with friends or the White Cloud Hotel.
If anyone's interested in joining any part of our trip, please feel free to email me (joh@ksgmac.com).
To everyone else, have a great time in Nepal, be curteous and respectful to their culture and enjoy!!
Julie :)
