My friend has just called his house here in England the "Everest View Lodge" - a great idea, and obviously tongue in cheek as he has a view of absolutely nothing from his front door apart from the other side of the street. I'd like to do the same with my house - any ideas for witty Nepalese-sounding names?? I just have an ordinary semi-detached suburban house.

My house number is "2b". I've been meaning to get one of those engraved slate name plates made up in Kathmandu with my house name as "Hunu Ghar". "Ghar" is the Nepali word for "home" and "hunu" is the verb "to be". I don't think that Postman Pat would get the joke ;)

Great idea cyclingpaul! Let me see...

-Annpaurna Sanctuary - (put a red light at the entrance and people might think it's a "house for entertainment". They might think so anyway...)
- Nobby's Knoll (as the Gokyo fifth lake viewing point is called by some... knobs)
- Yeti's beer hole (if you're a bit of a drinker)
- Monkey Temple
- Kathmandu Guest House
- Bindi house (if you smoke some)
- Namche Bizzare

I may think of some more...
