Strike affecting Tourists

I left Kathmandu on June 1 - at that time there was a reported planned strike against tourists for June 7-9 (or tourist infrastructure at least, no one I spoke to was sure). Just wondering what form or actions this turned out to be from anyone who was in KTM during this period. I have seen reports of tourist buses burnt or attacked during this period.

well, I guess we have to wait and see... Speculations at useless. I can tell you that I have spent three weeks in Nepal in April, trekking etc, and found it perfectly safe. While there were daily demonstrations around Ratna Park in KTD, they did not in any way interfere with the "tourist life". There were a lot of tourists in Thamel and everything was going on as normal.
