Maoist encounters

I spent several hours with armed maoists between Tipling and Kuri last month. I have put my email for you to contact me.

I was with a group refused to continue from Simikot to Tibet border in early may - during a 7 day maoist strike. They refused any payment to let us thru, cliamed to have the trail bombed and further reinforcements placed at the next village. These were 16-18 year olds with limited weapons dressed in dark green uniforms but we simply could not negotiate a way through.

I subsequently went to the Khumbu area instead and all was Ok- I did have contact with a guy from below Lulka where his village is frequented by Maoists.
