EBC Trekking Guide

Hey,

I know everyone has someone who they would recommend as a guide, and I certainly would be interested in hearing about them. That being said...how does one go about picking the right person for themselves. My group has been in contact with two guides. One is independent who responds to every email and sends in mail things that I have requested (references). Another is a trekking company Thirdpole. They have called and emailed often as well. Both seen to be legit, however; we just have no idea. I sincerely want pros and cons and ideas for how to protect ourselves from dishonest persons. THANKS!
