I usually wear my glasses instead of contacts on trek because it is easier, but plenty of people wear contacts while trekking. You can get your hands relatively clean with soap and water if available (and it will be if you are on a tented trek--you will get a bowl of water every morning), but I would also take plenty of Purell to wash with. The dry air is not a problem, but you could taking some eye drops to be safe.
