What is the normal number of days to do the Everest Base camp trek?

I know you can do it in 21 days or 15 days if fly direct to Lukla.... But can it be done in less... Obviously you need days to acclimatise..

Tim

I would say 12 days is the minimum fairly safe Lukla-EBC-Lukla timetable for a decent acclimatizer. 21 is just enough for fairly fast Jiri-EBC-Gokyo-Lukla trek if Cho La is passable. Fast meaning Jiri-Namche in 6 days or so, can not hurry too much after Namce. If Gokyo is left out 18 days is enough in a pinch.

I do not advocate going too fast. On the other hand I do not condemn it either if trekkers know what they are doing and preferably have previous high altitude experience.

Dear sir,
thank you very much for inquiry for the information for Jiri to Gokyo. please fien information as give per below with your question.

Hey guys I have 3 questions

1) Is there any medication you can take for altitude sickness?
we give only you mentality medicine but really any contry can't make mountain sickness medicine and we used Diamox but good medicine is come down.

2) When walking in to Gokyo from Jiri what clothes do you wear during the day, is t-shirt and shorts ok?
but if the weather is ok then we only can wear T-shirt and shorts but if is bad weather we used Jacket.

3) Is $USD40 a day a reasonable price for a guide and porter all food accomodation and permits to the park included?
it is fine if only for guide but better make package that cheap for you also.
if you are happy with reply please contace me to this mail. niraula_kamal@hotmail.com
