I need to book a flight from Kathmandu to Singapore return at the end of March. Can anyone recommend a local airline or a travel agent that I can contact to book the flight before I travel. I have a little flexibility and will stop over in Bangkok if no direct flights.

Trying to do this on the Web from Ireland is proving very expensive.

Thanks

PS If anyone knows any Porter / Guides available for the last 2 weeks in
March for a quick trip in the Annapourna area pls let me know

The alternative to going through BGK is to fly Royal Nepali Airlines which from what I know still flies to Singapore a couple of times a week or so. Still, I believe the alternative of bangkok is better than either Flying RNA (notoriously unreliable in terms of departing times these days) of flying via India, which is more expensive.

Here are the emails of a guide and a porter/guide (both independens) with very good recommendations:

Santaman Tamang at
santamn@hotmail.com

and Bachan Rai at
bachanRai4@hotmail.com

Cheers and have a good time in Nepal.

Currently , there are no direct flight from KTM to SG. Even if you travel by RNA, its travel pattern will be KTM - kuala lumpur- Singapore. The stop in KL is only temporary.

As what Yakshaver has mentioned, RNA is unreliable. Two of my friends were stranded in Hongkong for several days when using their services.

Suggest that you used Thai Airway as the connecting flight wont take u alot of time, the most is about an hour. Check out Thai Airway website.

Another web you may like to consider : www. zuji.com.sg to purchase an online ticket.
