Thanks a lot for the detailed account Dave!! Is it ok with you for me to copy it in full, and give due credit, on another website <yetizone.com>? Or do you mind doing it yourself perhaps? Many people would like to hear it...

I just got home last nite from thailand after my nepal trek. I had a great time too trekking in nepal from 15 Nov to 8 Dec doing the Annapurna circuit. A splendid country to trek in with very colour culture and friendly people.

Dont let the maoist from stopping u to visit the mountains. Everyone i met on the trail just love trekking and enjoying their time in the mountains. I guess the only things that bother many of us would be the sheer cold temperature.

i have seen so much there and brought back alot of memories which gonna stay with me for many years to come.

If anyone thinking of doing AC, yeah go for it. you will like what u gonna see, The trip to Nepal has far exceed my expectation, and i am very happy with it.

Try flying by thai Airway , their schedule is reliable, and pretty punctual.

Security is tight at the Airport especially on my departure. All the passengers had 2 round of body check before boarding the plane and rounds of boarding pass checking.

There was a couple of road blocks along Ktm-beshi sahar and Pokhara-ktm during the period when i was travelling. i was lucky for it didnt take a long time. i have met some trekkers who were hold up for 2hr during one of the road block.

So have fun in AC if u r going:)

Dave

Could you recommend your guide and porter? I wish to do the same trek in April 04. Previously have been to EBC with firends when we carried our own stuff but am taking my mother to ABC so will need a guide and porter or otherwise will go with an overseas trekking company but prefer to give the money direct to Neplais if can get a good and reliable recommendation.

Many thanks

Alastair
