I just got back from Nepal/India travels today.
Royal Nepal was hell.
Everything else about Nepal was wonderful.
I dont feel like typing in the whole story right now, but they own 2 old badly maintained planes. Both are either broken down are about to break down.
When I was scheduled to fly Nov 30 both planes were broken down. I went through an unbelievable (physical) fight and paid extra $ to push my way onto an Indian Airlines flight 1 day later than scheduled.

Raj from Thirdpole Adventure Trekking clarified this for you on the other thread. So you basically need a group, which means a minimum of two, and a registered trekking agency. He can organise things for you for Mustang. They are pretty good and competitive on price.

Sorry guys - My horror story beats all of yours!!!!!!!
Flew from London to Delhi, so that I could catch my connecting flight to Kathmandu. I obtained a transit visa thinking that I would only be at Delhi airport for 4-5 hours - HA!!
My flight with RA was only a couple of hours short of when we boarded - then disaster, delayed for 8 hrs before being cancelled. All in all I spent over 48 hours stuck in the transit lounge of Delhi Airport. What did RN do for me....... gave me one dinner, and one breakfast. If anyone here has been in Delhi airport Transit Lounge they will know that you cannot lie down on the seats (because of their great design) - you must go to a lounge. That costs $7 for three hours. I basically spent God knows how many hours in a lounge which came out of my own pocket - NICE!! By the time I did get on a plane. The meal which I was given was so, so bad Im 100% certain thats what gave me food poisoning. 7 days spent (wasted) trying to get better in Kathmandu - not the nicest city in the world!
Thankyou RA, you couldnt even run a bath. Your staff are very, very unproffessional. Im pleased to hear that your two planes have now been grounded, as I could have probably flown by pig and got to Kathmandu quicker. I feel that if you sack your current staff and replace them with wild dogs your company with be 100x more efficient and customer friendly. Thankyou.
