Flying to Lukla

We are planning to fly to Lukla on 12/2 and return on 12/15. What is the best way to purchase a ticket? Do we go to the Yeti office in Katmandu when we arrive, call ahead, or deal with a travel agent? We will not be with a guide service. Thanks!
