info on guides

Me and my family are first time visitors in nepal and are going to trek the annapurna circuit in about two weeks.We just heard of the current situation there and that it is recommended to have a guide esp. in some regions with a high maoist activity.I just wondered what might be the best way to get such a guide in kathmandu or so. I would be very happy with some information on that!

If you want to email me, I can suggest a couple of options in terms of guides I have employed and can recommend. Annapurna region has not seen high level of maoist activity, and people are trekking there right now.
