View Full Version : Crowds on the EBC/Gokyo Ri treks?

Can anyone give an idea of how crowded the EBC trek is in November? I am getting the impression that things can get pretty bad there in high season, with rooms in lodges getting scarce and fellow trekkers jumping ahead of each other to occupy them, that kind of stuff. Is this what one should expect in that remote part of the world? Is the Gokyo Ri trek any better in that regard? How big is the chance of getting stranded in Lukla because of flight delays on the way back? Appreciate the advice. Anatoliy.

Yakshaver -- thanks for the advice, sounds really encouraging. You are right, I read a 2001 edition of Lonely Planet, but also surfed some on-line forums, including this one. I am making my plans for early November, so was a little bit concerned about having to face exactly what I am trying to get away from. Anatoliy.
