The monsoon is still wagging its tail... normally late evenings and through the night. If you are doing Annapurna usualy this can take a little longer to clear than Kathmandu. However all is not lost.... the weather has already changed over the past couple of weeks or so with some great days and fairly clear.... when it eventually changes it does so very quickly... if it decides to hang on a little longer you are very unlikely to be walking all day in the rain.Leeches are painless and quite friendly...a tin of chewing tobbacco(must be the small round tin mainly yellow in colour)rub a little around the little dears mouths they will drop off satiated with your blood and a good dose of nicotine.
The security situation here is really O.K. at present.

Happy trekking. You will really enjoy.

Hello,

you should not walk during rain, while the Annapurna Circuit is known for landslides etc.. But the weather is changing - becomes more sunny. Thunderstorms are only in the late afternoon or in the night to be expected. Enjoy your Trek.

If there is a risk of rain you could get a rain-poncho, a wide one that protects your pack pack too.
I bought one in Namche 5 years ago.
