Jerry, please have a look at the postings raised in reply to JOANNE (09-10-03 - that is 10 Sept 2003). Nick on the ground there gives a pretty good picture.
I would say go (I will go there in Dec myself). Curfew in KTD is 11pm to 5 am, so it should not affect much. When I went there two years ago the curfew was starting at 9pm...
