Im planning a short trip to either Annapurna curcuit or to Tengboche in August. What sort of conditions can i expect if i trek "clockwise from Jomsom up to Muktinath .. and would the weather be significantly different if i opted to trek from Lukla up to Tengboche and back? Unfortunately i dont have the time to do the full Annapurna circuit, but hope to return and do the whole thing next August (2009)... maybe with a school trip. Any advice would be most appreciated!

Jomsom to Muktinath is now a road, quite unlike Lukla to Tengboche. There may be some advantages to Annapurna if you plan to return with a school group, do a recce of Pokhara and part of the trail.
But then the Tengboche option might just as appealing for the same reasons

Jomsom to Muktinath is now a road
But still well worth seeing...
Toss a coin. You won't be disappointed with either destination...
