Ditto the yak really
There really seems to be little change as far as trekkers are concerned.. the Muktinath area has been very safe in the past and as of now no real reason to believe it wont be at the end of the month.I guess my comment would be this latest round of trouble has yet to take shape and tactics may change (I do not mean in terms of targetting tourists) perhaps more that there are signs the Kathmandu valley will be more of a focus this time...I would be very surprised if bombs were to be placed in tourist areas.Yesterday there were six small bombs detonated at government offices with one death and several wounded as a result... all of these a long way from main tourist hubs.Best really if you keep an eye and an ear out for how things develop...
Hope this helps and at present everyone can enjoy their trekking here in the more frequented reagions.
