All I can say is wow, the only "problem" was I had taken my memory card out of my camera to look at photos and at 5 am when we woke Up I forgot to put it back. So no photos.
The Hike-The thousand Island Lake loop which starts from the Agnew Meadows parking/camping area (also shuttle stop).It begins on the rather flat River Trail for the first 3 miles or so, the spectacular scenery begins as you join the John Muir trail. As you climb you join a cascading waterfall besides the trail. Then past 4 more lakes to Thousand Island lake.
The trail then cross over to the Pacific Crest Trail or "High Trail" on my map.
Amazing flowers of all colors, fantastic scenery. Its 20 miles with several thousand feet of up. we like to push it so we did it in 8 hours total elapsed time. Others like to take a few days, I could see why!
