Sherpa Guides

I was just wondering if anyone knew of any good guides for the Khumbu region who are from the area. (eg sherpa)
If you do could you please supply me with some contact details. I just seem to think that having a guide who is from the area and who has family there will make my trip so much more rewarding

I guess it would be good to get a "local" as a guide.
The main thing though is to go with a well recommended guide, whether from the area or not. An experienced guide, who has been in the area many times, and who is also communicative, interested, reliable, and seemingly enjoying the trekking experience as much as you do - well, this is for me a good guide. Of course good decision making in an emergency (altitude sickness etc) is also important. People should think about these factors when recommending guides. At least this is what I do.
