Hi,
I am planning to go on trekking to Nepal with some friends. This is the first time I am doing someting like this. I would like to know the best places in Nepal to go on trekking and and the best time(Although I would like to go there in the cold season when it is snowing a bit).
Looking forward to hear from someone who has already done it and from anyone who wish to join me.
Cheers

Hi,

The best treks are Annapurna Circuit and EBC/Gokyo. For the first timer, I would suggest EBC (+Gokyo, if u have the extra time). This will get u close to Everest ... and make u wanna come back for more !!!

We trekkers in Nepal, are one of the best repeat tourists in the world.

The best time is Oct/Nov. For the first timer, I would not suggest trekking while its snowing. Having said that, u will likely encounter snow while trekking thru high passes ... though, the trail itself might be snow-free.

And yes, pick up a good trekking book ... personally, I prefer the Trailblazer series.

Trekking in Nepal is fun !!
