safe trip?

Hello, we want to do the Annappurna Circuit in october/november. Does anybody know how is the situation is in Nepal? We want to go by ourselfs, is it safe enough?

The main trekking regions are safe. Moaists have not attacked tourists, and in fact have a stated policy in this regard.
I would use a guide/porter though. Personnally I found the trip very enjoyable when accompanied by a Nepali guide.
