border closure with tibet

In Bangkok today, the rumor is that the border with tibet continues to be
closed due to SARS. I can not seem to find any reliable information (including from the Chinese embassy). Can anyone confirm that it is still closed and/or when it is to be reopened?

From 1st of july Tibet border is open.It is cornfirmed.We are taking booking from begenning of july to Tibet.
