you definetly do NOT need a guide or porter!

It possible to get off the track but in practice I found the locals bent over backwards to tell you that you were off the track!
We never had any problems! (my wife and I)

There are very very few routes that branch off the Annapurna Circuit and if in doubt just ask, they are very very helpful and friendly!

We did Ann. circuit and ABC together (28 days) and EBC (22 days) with no problems at all!!
