I am trekking guide in Nepal and would like to welcome you in Nepal and give you advice as given in below:
You are right october and November is the peak time to travel in Nepal and at that time is good from any view like weather,tempture and so on.....would like to let you know that at that time of year will be crowed in the major trekking trails and in tourstic destinations....
March and april is the second best time to Travel trek and climb in Nepal......so if you dont like crowd then march and april will be best for you.
well, if you are thinking to enjoy the rafting then september will be best cause the monsson will be just finished and the level of rivers will be high..

hello david this is shyam and i just checked out your messaage board. well iam a trekking guide in nepal since a 12 years experience, iam very glad to read your message and give some of my valuable idea for you if you are interesting for the trek in nepal.

you can do a three types of trek in nepal and like three category, and yes you are absolutely right that october is the really best time for trek trek in nepal. we have a three main route for tea house trek and there are lots of another region to go but for do this is only possibel fully camping organize trek with lots of crew and the price is much diferent for this trek,

tea house is possible with guide and porter or you can go on your own but bit dangerous to go just your own and you might be easily take the worng trail some time. because there are many unname trail.
so you need any more information for it please feel free to ask me and i will happily make your trek when ever you want to come but i assure you that the best time is only we have 2 main season, from middle of september to end of novembers, this is the first high season and second high season is from middle of feb to end of may, only different is in october season you can see many clear mountain and feb season you see still lost of clear mountain and that time lots of rhododendron flower are blooming mostly in ghorapani area.
