Hi everyone, Im on holiday in August, and would like to return to Nepal. Is it advisable to go into the mountains at that time of year? Will it be too hot or wet? Ive recently been to EBC ABC and hae done half the Annapurna Curcuit (Jomsom Trek). Can anyone recommend anything a bit more cahllenging?

Thanks

Richard

August is a good time to trek. You may not have views all day every day, but you'll see the mountains...

Plus, there's such a different feel to Nepal at that time. Everything is green, in flower - beautiful!

You say you did AC (Jomsom Trek)... Did you do the whole AC, or just Jomsom? If the later is true, then trekking from Besisahar to Josmos (crossing Thorung la in the process) is fantastic at that time of the year, and you're in the rain shadow provided by the Anapruna range for most of the trek. Except perhaps the first three days from Besi. Else there is Mustang, Dolpo etc, to be done if you want to avoid rain. But I would probably do something new, like Langtang-Helambu or Naar Phu, Manaslu etc.
