Time to give another plug to Santaman, Rame and their crew <santamn@hotmail.com>.
Eight of us of various nationalities (France, Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand, China, Romania) have enjoyed an amazing trek to Gokyo's Fifth Lake Lookout, with Rame as a guide this time around (having had Santa in the previous seven treks), as well as Sham, Bhudda, Ram and Rescham as porters. We've had a ball, and the last evening when they organised the Nepali dancing at Everest Resort in Lukla was amazing, everyone getting involved with gusto!!!
I warmly recommend Santaman, Rame and their crew. A bunch of independent guides and porters, who are friends and respect eachother, and make the trek a really memorable one for the tourists. Customer satisfaction is high on their list. They are friendly and helpful without being intrusive.
They are also flexible, offers ranging from one porter-guide for semi-independent trekkers of couples, or full on expeditions for more remote areas.
