Can anyone tell me generally when Thorung La becomes passable?

In the Spring season it is generally passable from the beginning to mid-march onwards. It can be crossed earlier but your chances are less of finding it clear.

Have a look at two replies I made to the "trekking in mid-feb" thread in the older messages, that should give you an idea of what the conditions were like in March 2002.
