Do not trust any recomended freelance guide. Go through a trekking agency. What ever excellant tour you discribe. It is not a good way to take freelance guide.

Hi alan!

The Monsoon will be in full swing in August. However, there are some interesting places, which are in the rain shadow and ideal to visit during the Monsoon. One of them is Jomsom. You can make a minimum 7 days to maximum 12 days trek in this area, depends on your duration. Muktinath is worth to visit. But, half of the trail passes through the rainy area anyway.

Have a nice trip!

Hi !Alan,
as per the requried mentioning your trip in Nepal of Auguest, would be the both suny and rain as known as end of summer and begaining of Autom season.
so I can say you will get here at that time very greenary and not much clear mountain view he will covered by cloud but you can see the very often during the day.I would like to say the third week of Auguest if you prepare in Nepal would be good for you.Not at begaining. It means at third week of Auguest would be end the monsoon and would be start the Autoum.Would be beutiful weather.
